Over the last decade or so, the mainstream media and digital download companies have dominated the entertainment sector. In light of this, we at Scent of Indie came up with a solution facing Independent Artists. And not just the music sector, but ALL areas of Independent Art -music, film/video, literature, artwork and photography.
We believe that people or fans investing in the ACTUAL content of an artist creates a closer relationship, a better media avenue and more fun for everyone.
Plus it removes the doubt of investing in an unknown company or ’stock’ where you really don’t know what product you’re investing in.
With Scent of Indies’ exchange markets: you know the music, movies, books and art. Now, you’re investing in what you already enjoy plus supporting some amazing hidden talent from around the world.

SOI Pi Scent of Indies’ Business Opportunity! The program is designed to allow the everyday person to own and run their own business. The concept is based on you becoming a Partner in the Independent Arts, meaning you own your own ‘brokerage firm’ within Scent of Indie. Our vision is to see you build a solid house with members, other Partners and immerce yourself deeper into the art world not just as a fan but as a business pioneer. SOIL will be Scent of Indies’ second pioneer venture: Scent of Indie Lounge. The concept focuses on day-trading by remote for existing members, a tour guide for the curious and merchandise outlet. By night, the entire unit is transformed into a grassroots lounge where artists -in their local setting- reach out to fans and fans reach in to support the arts.
SOIX is the MAIN Index for all content. It will show all Offerings and units in trade from each exchange, as well as news and information
IAO is how all content is first introduced to the Markets. The IAO is a profile and sample of the Artist work. Remember the IAO sets the original price and the content value CANNOT go below that price, so your never going to lose your investment.
AMX offers all categories of content including songs, albums, movies, books and photos. It also carries all four product types.
As the name says, MOX carries only mobile content like ring-tones, pod-casts, videos and wallpapers.
KAX is dedicated to those who like Karaoke. This exchange carries melodies, lyrics and even sing-a-long videos!
Products There are four (4) products that tell you what kind of content you are trading. The product is designed to make trading simpler. Each product is unique and can be easily identified by the icon.
Prime is a single item like a song, a movie, a screenplay, etc.
Com are collection items like an album, a movie series, photo show,etc.
Box is a combination of different types of content. For example, a Music Box may contain songs, albums, sheet music, videos and photos of an Artist. Some BOX by be ‘broken’ meaning once you buy it, you can take the items out and sell them individually. This is a really fun product for the savvy trader.
Future is a Artistic work that has not yet been issued by IAO.

Rating
The Rating determines the Initial Offering Price of content. The higher the rating, the higher the Offering price.
Trade Fee The TF or Trade Fee is the fee on ALL Buy or Sell orders from IAO and exchanges. The TF is always 10% of the ORIGINAL price, not the Market Price. There is no fee for retail orders.
Getting the Hard Copy
If you would like the hard copy of any content item, especially an Art Piece, Scent of Indie will assist you. We would need some information such as shipping info and then set up a SKYPE call with the artist. Once the artist approves the order we will send you a confirmation email and notice in your account.
